While searching the internet for the most “geeky” gift out there, I happened upon an online store called ThinkGeek and 2 hours later I was still making my wish list.
One item in particular got me really excited. The Tesla Watch. This watch actually looks similar to a gauge you might see on a 19th century steam locomotive.
What really makes it funky are the two ornamental vacuum tubes that sit above the round, analog watch face – makes me think of a steampunk Mickey Mouse. For an added "mad-scientist" look, these vaccum tubes house LED lights that can be turned on and off. The top-stitched, leather strap can wrap around to be worn as a wrist-watch or disconnect on one side to hang like a watch fob. This watch has a vintage-look ornamental wind-up key that fits into a custom slot sewn on the side of the strap. Every detail of this watch is a unique design.
